Central Ohio Rally Club Presents A Lickin' Rally August 31, 2002 Join the members of the Central Ohio Rally Club for an brisk road rally over the rural roads east of Columbus, in Licking County, Ohio. This road rally is a 75-mile time-speed-distance event designed for ease of course following but brisk speeds, all of which are still below posted limits. It should be enjoyable for both driver and navigator. The rally will use first opportunities for instructions with the official mileage given at most turns. The object, as in all time-speed-distance rallys, will be for the driver-navigator team to stay on course and to maintain prescribed average speeds. Trophies and merchandise certificates will be awarded to the teams that do the best at being on time at a series of checkpoints. Teams compete in classes based upon experience and type of rally equipment used. The IS NOT a race… Assigned speeds change with the type of road, but are generally between 30 and 50 miles per hour on the county and township roads. This route will cover about 75 miles of paved roads east of Columbus. Bring along a clip board, good watch, pen/pencil and a flash light.
Entry is
open to any safe, legally licensed vehicle with at least two occupants. (If you
have more than two people over the age of 12 in the vehicle you may run, but
will not be eligible for trophies.) Pre-Registration and more information on the

The event will follow the schedule below: NOTE: New Date - times are earlier than usual for CORC events… Registration: 4:30-5:30 PM in the Big Bear Plaza (About 1.5 miles east of I-270 on Broad St) Driver Meeting; 5:45 PM First Car Off: 6:01 PM First Car Finishes in same location : 9:30 PM |
